On Sunday, October 11, from 10.30 am, in the hamlet of Sant’Anna in Pianello del Lario, the event 'Radici – Discovering our origins and folk traditions' will take place: a food & wine and cultural journey exploring the history, flavours and traditions of the village.
The route is an uphill path paved with cobblestones and steps, starting at Camlago – Grotta della Madonnina. Along the way, there will also be accordion music and a photography exhibition.
There will be 7 stops along the route, each featuring food and wine tastings:
- Primo ospizio di Don Guanella, where you can savour 'caffè del pügnatin e pan, salam, lart e panzeta' (coffee, bread, salami, lard and pancetta);
- La sosta, with 'cudeghin e murtadela fregia' (cotechino and cold mortadella);
- Palazzo Candida Lena Perpenti, where you can taste 'oss de spilucà e risotto cunt la pasta del salam' (ossobuco and risotto with salami paste);
- Chiesetta di Sant'Anna;
- Il cortile delle chiacchiere, with 'fritura cunt pulénta frègia' (fried food and cold polenta);
- Dalla Lénin, to try 'La rustisciàda' (roast meet);
- Dal Férmo, to conclude with 'Braschin cui griton' (cookie).
Access to the route is free of charge.
Price of food and wine tastings:
Full pass: €30.00 - young people aged 8 to 17 and non-drinkers: €20.00 - children up to the age of 7: free admission.
A shuttle service is available from the 'Lake Como International Museum of vintage boats' car park.
