Quando il treno diventò elettrico. Viaggio tra storia e architettura lungo la Lecco-Sondrio
In 1892, the first train chugged from Lecco toward Bellano, ushering in a new era for the region. Two years later, the railroad reached Valtellina, connecting the lake to Milan. In 1902, a groundbreaking milestone was reached: the Lecco-Sondrio line became the world’s first electrified railroad. A bold feat of engineering, its legacy lives on today in its bridges, infrastructure, and elegant stations—testaments to a history that continues to move forward. An aperitif will be served at the end.
