Arte Solidale Festival: Chopin e Mozart a Villa Carlotta
Arte Solidale returns to Villa Carlotta for its usual spring piano event, this year dedicated to Frédéric Chopin , with a tribute to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart on the 270th anniversary of his birth. Pianist and harpsichordist Luigi Trivisano makes his debut at the festival with Chopin's Twelve Etudes, Op. 10 , in a journey of virtuosity and lyricism, from " Tristesse" to the famous "Fall of Warsaw ."
As per tradition, the opening performance will be entrusted to a very young performer: Massimiliano Frati , with a tribute to Mozart through the Sonata in A minor . This will be followed by a performance by Artistic Director Danilo Mascetti, who will connect the two composers by performing Chopin's Variations , Op. 2, on Mozart's theme " Là ci darem la mano ."
The elegant setting of Villa Carlotta will accompany the two maestros' music, with the gardens open to visitors before the concert. Admission is free; donations support projects for children and young people in need run by the "Azalea" Social Cooperative in Tremezzina.
